Privacy Policy

Our binding commitment to transparency, browser-side document confidentiality, and data minimization.

1. Architectural Privacy Model

At topdf.click, your privacy is safeguarded by architectural design rather than mere policy promises. Traditional web document services require you to transmit your private paperwork over the public internet to a remote web server where files are stored, converted, and later deleted.

topdf.click operates differently: Our core tools execute client-side processing directly inside your local web browser using WebAssembly (WASM) and isolated Web Workers. When you open a PDF, photo, or document in our tools, the file is read from your local storage directly into your browser’s temporary runtime memory. It is never transmitted across the network to our hosting infrastructure or stored on any server hard drive.

2. Document Content & File Processing

Because file manipulation is performed by client-side code running in your browser:

  • We cannot read, inspect, view, or analyze the contents of your documents.
  • We do not retain, copy, or back up your uploaded files on any remote server.
  • Once you close the browser tab or clear your session, the in-memory document data is deallocated by your browser’s garbage collector.

Security Note: While client-side processing eliminates remote server disclosure risks, users remain responsible for maintaining the physical security of their local device, updating their web browser, and guarding against local malware or unauthorized screen-recording software.

3. Web Server Access Logs

When you navigate to topdf.click, our web hosting servers (running on standard web server technology) automatically record standard technical access entries. These server logs may record:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address.
  • The date and timestamp of the HTTP request.
  • The specific URL path requested (e.g., /merge/).
  • Your browser type and user-agent string.
  • The referring URL that directed you to our website.

These logs are standard across web hosting providers, are maintained exclusively for system administration, traffic capacity planning, and DDOS mitigation, and contain zero document contents.

4. Analytics & Future Monetization Disclosures

Current Development Status: During our current local development and testing phase, no commercial tracking scripts or third-party advertising networks are active.

Future Google AdSense Integration: To sustain free access to our tools, topdf.click plans to display advertisements managed by Google AdSense upon production release. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other sites on the internet. Users will have the ability to opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings or through our Cookie Consent mechanism.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Our website uses standard browser session storage solely to maintain user interface preferences (such as tool view modes and client search filtering). For full details regarding our cookie policies and third-party advertising cookie choices, please consult our dedicated Cookie Policy.

6. User Rights & Contact Procedure

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you hold specific rights regarding personal data. Because we do not collect personal profiles, maintain user accounts, or store uploaded documents on our servers, there is generally no personally identifiable document data for us to retrieve, modify, or delete.

For privacy inquiries, data protection questions, or technical clarification regarding our local processing model, please email us directly at contact@topdf.click or review our Contact Information page.
